The University of Miami Health System welcomes new provider Rtika R. Abraham, M.D., assistant professor of clinical medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Diabetes.

Clinical specialties: Her clinical interests include management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, hypo and hyperthyroidism, adrenal and parathyroid disease, and post-menopausal osteoporosis.

Research interests:  diabetes and thyroid disorders.

Education:  M.D., Christian Medical College, India

Residency:  The Johns Hopkins University/Sinai Hospital Program

Geriatrics fellowship:  University of Arkansas

Fellowship:  University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences

Certifications:  ABIM — Internal medicine and geriatric medicine
