UHealth Celebrates Opening of Second One Medical Clinic in Miami-Dade County

Leadership and staff from UHealth – University of Miami Health System joined their counterparts from One Medical on Monday, January 30, to celebrate the opening of One Medical’s newest primary care clinic in South Florida. The facility, located across from Brickell City Center in Downtown Miami, at 86 SW Eighth St., features primary care doctors who see patients age 14 and older.

One Medical’s membership-based model provides on-demand, 24/7 access to telehealth services, paired with convenient in-person care. The affiliation with UHealth creates a seamless integration for patients requiring more specialized care or hospitalization. One Medical patients, including all University of Miami employees who elect to enroll, have access to UHealth specialists, along with the ease of telemedicine and on-demand services for primary health care, including wellness, prevention, chronic conditions, urgent care, and mental health.

Parekh, M.D., chief operating officer of the University of Miami Health System. “We have a shared vision to transform health care in our community as we provide outstanding service to our patients. This expanding model helps us expand our reach.”
